Certain moth species can do incredible damage to property such as cloths, carpets or food. They also cause a negative impact on personal wellbeing. All though most moths in the uk are harmless, a few are regarded as pests’ cloth moths, carpet moths & food moths. Moths don’t carry any known diseases or spread disease, however they certain species damage property.
Moth problems
There are several types of treatments for moth infestation, we use professional types of insectidicides,lures, traps, EFKs glue boards, parasitic wasps. Monitoring traps are used also to determine the type of moth problem there is.
One of our best products we use is DISmate PE used to control Indian meal moth, Mill moth, Warehouse moth, Tropical warehouse moth, Raisin moth, & Cocoa moth.
Dismate PE is used both as a curative & preventative alternative to poison treatment, with none of the associated downtime.
The main thing is to keep food in containers for hygiene reasons & cardboard packaging to a minimum or removed completely. Check regular for any signs or infestations before they cause damage. Varius monitoring and traps should be put into place and checked on a regular basis.
Stored product insect infestations
Stored product insects the main reason we control SPIs is the damage & contamination they cause to foodstuff, raw materials & finished products. SPIs can cause severe damage to businesses & profits. The financial loss associated with SPIs is enormous. Stored products insects can enter the food chain at any point they don’t just eat the product but also build their homes as well.
In normal situations you should have a policy in place to protect your foodstuffs from SPIs especially if you’re running a business. However sometimes there is a problem that’s must be treated ASAP. We use professional insecticides & equipment to remove the problem.
Once treatment is completed. A full hygiene deep clean will de done new monitoring traps in place & any proofing that is needed to help stop ingress back in to the stores, shop restaurants etc.
